General
Here you'll find general information about Troop 320.

Uniforms
All scout are expected to wear a full class 'A' uniform to every meeting. Hats are not required and scarves and sashes are only worn when formal class 'A' is required (such as an Eagle ceremony, Court of Honor or on Scout Sunday).

Troop 320 has a limited supply of used class 'A' and class 'B' uniforms in the quartermaster supply room. If your scout outgrows his uniform please donate it to the troop.

Travel
Troop 320 owns a 36 passenger bus for travel.  This helps to keep the troop together as a unit when traveling and avoids car pools and caravans.  We have a bus fee per scout each time we use the bus.

Equipment

Troop 320 has a great deal of equipment such as tents, cook boxes, tarps and Dutch ovens. Each scout should provide his own personal gear, such as: mess kit, eating utensils, ground pad and sleeping bag.

Meetings
Troop 320 meets every Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Empire Masonic Lodge directly behind the Kmart in Mauldin.

Troop meetings are designed to advance each scout at his own pace. Regular attendance at the meetings, outings and summer camp are necessary for the scout to advance at a reasonable pace.

Dues

Dues of one dollar $1 are collected at each meeting. Dues should be earned by the Scout.

Camping
The troop plans a camping trip for every month of the year except December.  At least one camping trip will be a backpacking camp-out with a minimum 5 mile hike as this is one of the scout requirements.  Troop 320 also enjoys a week at Camp Old Indian, a rappelling trip and usually a snow skiing trip, white water rafting or lake skiing once a year.
